  • Dr Mike Mawdsley

    Qualifications: Mb ChB (Hons) - Liverpool, DRCOG, Dip Family Planning (UK), MRCGP, FRNZCGP
    Vocationally registered in General Practice, Specialist GP

    Special interests: musculo-skeletal medicine, dermatology

    Dr Mike Mawdsley is available Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

  • Dr Jo Tooby

    Qualifications: BM BS, BMedSci, MRNZCGP

    Special interests: young families, menopause, healthcare of the elderly

    Dr Jo Tooby is available all day Mondays & Wednesdays and Thursday & Friday mornings

  • Dr Claire Olsson

    Claire completed her medical degree through the Otago School of Medicine in 2001
    Vocationally registered in General Practice, Specialist GP

    Claire began psychiatric training in Nelson, working in both the Mental Health Unit and community

    Dr Claire Olsson is available all day Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

  • Dr Sam Haslam

    Qualifications: MBChB, DCH, FRNZCGP

    Vocationally registered in General Practice, Specialist GP

    I grew up in Dunedin and completed my medical degree through the University of Otago. I worked at Nelson Hospital in a variety of roles before embarking on general practice training. I particularly enjoy the continuity of care and variety that General Practice offers. Family life balances out the relatively organised nature of work and on days off I can be found at the playground or outdoors with my family and running in my spare time

    Dr Sam Haslam is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

  • Dr Claire Buchanan

    Claire joined us in February 2022. She is a highly skilled and empathetic GP and is a great asset to our team

    Claire is usually available all day Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays

  • Dr Sarah Richards - GP and Skin Doctor

    Qualifications: Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer College of Australasia. FRNZCGP

    Vocationally registered in General Practice, Specialist GP

    Sarah offers Full Skin Checks (allow 30mins) and spot checks (up to 3 spots/lesions, allow 15mins)

    Sarah also provides surgical services such as biopsies and excisions of appropriate lesions

    Dr Sarah Richards is available Monday mornings (usually skin/spot checks) Monday afternoons GP clinic, Thursday mornings (usually surgical services). Thursday afternoon and Fridays are GP clinics

    Please note, not all skin services are funded, therefore costs beyond the standard consult fees may apply. We do not wish for financial circumstances to be a barrier to accessing skin services, so please do speak with reception if you have any questions or concerns about costs

  • Dr Vivien Edge

    Qualifications: MBChB, DA, DRCOG, FP Cert, MRCGP, FRNZCGP, PGDipGP
    Vocationally registered in General Practice, Specialist GP

    Special interests: youth and families, palliative care, sleep medicine

    Charlotte is available Thursdays and Fridays
